Tinubu to address Nigerians Oct 1 as FG unveils low-key independence celebration

The Federal Government has inaugurated an Inter-Ministerial Committee to plan Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary. The committee, chaired by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, unveiled a programme of activities that will culminate in a nationwide broadcast by President Bola Tinubu on October 1, 2026.
