Elder Statesman Decries ADC’s Weak Presence In Rivers

Elder statesman Wenenda Wali has criticised the weak presence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State. In a statement on his official Facebook page, Wali reacted to the arrest, arraignment, and remanding of three ADC members at Port Harcourt Correctional Centre on the orders of a Magistrate Court. The trio—Chikezie Justice, Isaiah Thomas, and Confidence Amadi—were allegedly arrested a week ago during an ADC campaign rally at Isiokpo, headquarters of Ikwerre Local Government Area. Wali questioned what the party is doing in 2026 to show it is serious about 2027, noting that ADC cannot hold meetings or rallies in the state.
