Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer have been named in England's first squad since being omitted by manager Thomas Tuchel from the World Cup. Alexander-Arnold, a Real Madrid full-back formerly of Liverpool, returns for the first time since June 2025, while Palmer was controversially left out of the World Cup squad that reached the semi-finals before losing to Argentina. Rio Ngumoha, Alex Scott, and Jarrad Branthwaite were also included in the 27-man group for the three-week, four-game Nations League camp, which begins nine weeks after England returned from the World Cup. Teenage winger Ngumoha impressed on his debut against New Zealand in June, and uncapped Scott was part of the pre-tournament training group in Florida. Branthwaite received his first call-up under Tuchel, with Lewis Hall, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin also returning.
