Morgan Stanley exec Lindsey Coleman shares her coffee-meeting request to tell who is serious about a Wall Street career

Lindsey Coleman, head of fixed income client coverage for the Americas at Morgan Stanley, shared her approach to evaluating young people's interest in Wall Street careers. When asked to get coffee with someone's child, she requests that the person read three articles or studies to discuss. Coleman said that while many want free coffee and advice, only some are willing to do the work to understand someone's role, background, and business. She has spent over two decades at Morgan Stanley and was one of Business Insider's inaugural Rising Stars of Wall Street in 2017.
