The Army said its troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have rescued six kidnapped victims during separate operations following fighting patrols in Kaduna and Katsina States on 17 September 2026. Three were rescued in Kaduna and another three in Katsina. In Kaduna, troops acted on intelligence and made contact with suspected terrorists moving kidnapped victims; the terrorists abandoned the victims and fled. The victims were debriefed and reunited with their families.
