Liberia hosted the Executive Leadership of the African Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA) in Monrovia for the opening day of its Executive Meeting. The meeting focused on advancing teacher professionalization across Africa, addressing common questions about teacher preparation, regulation, development, and support. Liberia's Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, emphasized that professionalization must also strengthen systems supporting current educators through continuous professional development, quality assurance, and professional standards.
