Marina Larroudé, cofounder of the footwear brand Larroudé, said standing out helped her succeed and described shopping for secondhand luxury pieces online. She spent a decade in editor roles at Condé Nast and served as fashion director of Barneys before founding the company with her husband, Ricardo, nearly six years ago. The brand has grown to more than 700 employees, opened a factory in Brazil, expanded into accessories and clothes, and gained celebrity fans including Taylor Swift. Larroudé, 46, now runs the company.
