Brazil launched the VS-30 V16 research rocket on September 15, 2026, from the Barreira do Inferno spaceport in Parnamirim. The rocket carries a suborbital microgravity platform for experiments in near-weightless conditions, reaching an altitude of over 100 kilometres. The experiments will cover biological materials, physical processes, and the development of new materials. After the research phase, the platform will separate, re-enter the atmosphere, deploy a parachute, and land in the Atlantic Ocean for recovery by Brazilian specialists.
