The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has called on Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race. The call follows revelations from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration proceedings in Paris concerning a $500,000 payment to Atiku's former wife, Jennifer Douglas, during the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project controversy. The payment was made in January 2003 by Leno Adesanya, promoter of Sunrise Power, through an offshore company, China Castle Investment Limited. The APC Campaign Council made the call in a statement issued on Friday by its spokesman, Dele Alake.
