Troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation Fansan Yamma, rescued six kidnapped victims in separate operations in Kaduna and Katsina states on Thursday, September 17. In Kaduna State, troops of Sector 1 acted on intelligence about a kidnapping in Igabi Local Government Area and encountered suspected terrorists moving victims. The terrorists fled, abandoning the victims, and troops rescued three identified as Enock Hussaini, Abba Dauda and Kalif Haruna, who were abducted at Gidan Gulbi village on September 11. A statement by Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, confirmed the rescue.
