The National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) has organised a training programme on the Security and Intelligence Agencies Act, 2026 (Act 1168) for members of the Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC). The training aims to strengthen the capacity of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives in Accra, improve inter-agency coordination and enhance the effective implementation of the new legal framework governing security and intelligence operations. The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, underscored the importance of understanding the roles and responsibilities of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, as well as Regional Security Councils, under the new Act.
