Ikeja Electric raises safety alert, warns customers against unauthorised electricians

Ikeja Electric Plc has warned customers against engaging unauthorised electricians to work on its network, following recent incidents involving fatalities linked to unsafe electrical activities. The company provided updates on its Meter Asset Provider refund process during its September Virtual Stakeholder Engagement. Olaniyi Olayiwola, Head of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment, urged customers not to allow unqualified persons to climb Ikeja Electric poles, work on power lines, tamper with electrical installations, or carry out illegal connections. He noted that recent incidents had resulted in loss of lives.
