Senegal presents the findings of its National Energy Efficiency Strategy

A workshop was held in Dakar on September 10, 2026, to present Senegal's draft National Energy Efficiency Strategy and Action Plan, along with guidelines for Energy Performance of Buildings and Minimum Energy Performance Requirements. The documents were developed with support from the European Union-funded Continental Energy Programme in Africa (CEPA) and the African Energy Commission (AFREC). About 60 energy efficiency stakeholders attended the event, which was organized by the Agency for the Economy and Management of Energy (AEME) under the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum. The workshop aimed to share results from recent modeling and strategy development work.
