Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has urged President Bola Tinubu to urgently reduce petrol prices to ease the burden of rising living costs on Nigerians. Speaking in Abuja, Atiku said the removal of petrol subsidy had worsened transportation, food, and production costs. He offered to provide policy ideas and technical input to bring relief, asking only that Nigerians be allowed to breathe. Atiku noted that Nigerians have endured the consequences of subsidy removal since May 29, 2023, without adequate protection.
