The Nigerian Navy has initiated efforts to overhaul its logistics system through increased use of technology, improved fleet maintenance, and efficient lifecycle management. Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Idi Abbas announced this at the Nigerian Navy Logistics Seminar 2026 in Kano State. He noted that the changing security environment and the emergence of the Nigerian Navy Marines and Special Operations Command have expanded operational responsibilities, requiring enhanced logistics planning.
