The Continental American Football League of Africa plans to establish a football academy in Makurdi to identify and develop talent in Benue State. CAFL Commissioner Mohammed El Mohammed announced the plan at a news conference in Makurdi, describing Benue as a destination of untapped potential. He said the CAFL football league would be introduced in the state in March next year, with the state government expected to provide playing pitches and security without financial assistance. Mohammed added that clinics will be built and sports therapists will be available to attend to injured players.
