The federal government announced plans to provide dedicated electricity to industrial clusters, beginning with a 50-megawatt project at the Idu Industrial Estate in Abuja. The project is expected to supply round-the-clock electricity to manufacturers in the estate. Minister of State for Industry Owan Enoh said dependable electricity was central to the government's industrialisation agenda, noting that reviving domestic manufacturing would remain constrained unless the energy deficit was addressed. The administration's industrial strategy focuses on expanding local production, promoting value addition and diversifying the economy.
