Field validation of Sentinel-X, a technology aimed at protecting maize from Fall Armyworm, is nearing completion in Nigeria's major agro-ecological zones. Prexea Technologies Limited, leading the deployment, says trials have covered Kano, Kaduna, Keffi, and Kwali, with additional evaluations planned in Bauchi, Kwara, and Oyo States. The trials are designed to assess the technology's performance under different Nigerian farming conditions before wider commercial adoption. Fall Armyworm continues to pose a major challenge to maize production in Nigeria and Africa.
