The State Magistrate Court 1 in Damaturu, Yobe State, has remanded Musa Abdullahi, known as Lamarbago, in a correctional facility over allegations of defaming the state Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Muhammad Garba Gagiyo. Lamarbago is known for his criticism of former Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan and the commissioner. The presiding magistrate ordered the remand pending Monday, when the case will continue and bail will be considered. Lamarbago has appealed to human rights organisations for intervention, alleging that some persons had attacked him.
