The Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON) has written to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike requesting an audience and a review of the ban on unauthorised car dealerships operating in Abuja's designated green areas. AMDON National President Prince Ajibola Adedoyin stated that successive FCT Ministers since 2001 have failed to resolve the relocation issue. He noted that previous offers of alternative sites, such as Tunga Maje and Lower Usuma Dam, were inadequate or became subjects of litigation. Adedoyin said the immediate past minister, Mohammed Musa Bello, also offered them some green areas.
