The Federal Government has announced plans to unlock a $100 billion tourism economy through a single tourism calendar for Nigeria. Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, disclosed this at the 'Ember to Remember' national stakeholders conference and the launch of Nigeria's coordinated September-to-December 100-day calendar of festivals, concerts, and cultural events in Lagos. Musawa said the conference was organised in collaboration with MyCityApp, and that the government has partnered with state governments and corporate entities to achieve the goal. She highlighted Nigeria's cultural assets, including music, fashion, food, heritage, festivals, and hospitality, as key drivers.
