President Donald Trump banned CNN, MS Now and Politico from the White House, escalating his longstanding conflict with media outlets that have covered his political career. In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that media outlets should not be able to constantly write or report fiction and lies when covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration or the United States of America, and promised other fake news media outlets would follow. CNN contradicted Trump's claim, saying its reporters remained in the White House as of yesterday afternoon and that a team was continuing to travel with Vice President JD Vance for pool coverage. The network said it stands fully behind its White House team and their fair and accurate reporting, adding that it has a right under the US Constitution to do that reporting without hindrance or interference from the government.
