A new study has found that frequent bending and prolonged walking at work during early pregnancy may increase the risk of miscarriage. Miscarriage affects about one in seven pregnancies, and established risk factors include advanced parental age, smoking, night-shift work, air pollution, and exposure to certain chemicals. However, the role of workplace physical activities has remained unclear until now. The research suggests that certain occupational movements could be linked to a higher risk of pregnancy loss.
