French President Emmanuel Macron hosted his Nigerian counterpart, Bola Tinubu, to a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday night. Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga disclosed this in a post on his verified X handle, saying the two leaders used the forum to pledge continued bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and France. Onanuga said the dinner reflected the enduring relationship between the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation. Tinubu's engagement in France comes during a three-week working vacation that began on August 30, 2026, with London as the first leg.
