Atiku Appeals to Tinubu to Reduce Petrol, Diesel Prices

Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the petroleum sector by reducing the prices of petrol and diesel. Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Atiku said President Tinubu should not be ashamed to lower the price of petrol simply because Atiku proposed a government intervention. He noted that for more than three years, the burden of high petrol prices has affected transportation, food prices, and family budgets. Atiku emphasised that when petrol becomes expensive, transportation becomes expensive, leading to higher food costs and increased expenses for farmers, traders, workers, and businesses.
