Gov Otti To Retire From Active Politics After Tenure

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said he would retire from politics after completing his tenure, saying younger Nigerians should be given the opportunity to take over leadership. Otti, who spoke on the importance of good governance, said people who experience effective leadership would resist any attempt to return them to poor governance. He stated that once he finishes his tenure, he will retire to allow young people to take over. The governor also said he had no intention of becoming a political godfather, declaring that he did not tolerate godfathers, and added that once citizens experienced good governance, they would be unwilling to return to what he described as the old order.
