Oyo Moves To Bridge Digital Learning Gap, Unveils Nigeria’s Learning Passport

The Oyo State government has adopted the Nigeria Learning Passport (NLP) to bridge the digital learning gap between children in urban centres and those in rural and underserved communities. The initiative, launched in partnership with UNICEF at the Local Government Hall in Ibadan, aims to expand access to curriculum-aligned learning materials for pupils, students, and teachers. Oyo becomes the 26th state in Nigeria to formally embrace the platform. UNICEF Lagos Chief of Field Office, Celine Lafoucriere, emphasised that the initiative's success depends on ensuring that children facing the greatest barriers to education are not left behind.
