The Borno State government has flagged off the distribution of five million Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN) to combat malaria. The wife of the governor and ITN campaign ambassador, Prof Falmata Zulum, launched the distribution in Maiduguri, stating that malaria strains the economy, productivity, and health. She noted that the nets are an effective, evidence-based tool against malaria and pledged to ensure they reach women and households through various women's platforms. Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Prof. Baba Mallam Gana, said the state has provided secured stores in all local government areas for timely distribution.
