A mother, Fatima Jibril, has taken her ex-husband, Muhammad Mahmud, to a Shari'a Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna, seeking child custody and a monthly maintenance fee of N50,000. The couple divorced in January, and they have a two-year-old child. Fatima's lawyer, Abubakar Jibril, presented the case to the court. The ex-husband stated he can only afford N25,000 per month.
