31 confirmed dead after attack at police HQ in Pakistan

An explosion and gun attack at a police headquarters in northern Pakistan has killed at least 31 people, including 16 police personnel, according to a senior police official. The attackers stormed the Old Police Lines complex in Kohat, a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on Friday afternoon. More than 100 people were injured in the attack. Several militants remained holed up in the Special Branch section of the complex, with an exchange of fire ongoing.
