Gunmen on Friday night stormed a busy cash-crop market in Mangu town, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing three persons and injuring many others. Residents said the attack occurred at about 8:30 p.m. when traders and buyers were preparing to close for the day, sending traders and passersby into panic. The President of the Mwaghavul Development Association, Bulus Dabit, confirmed the incident and said the gunmen fled immediately after the attack. He said the victims included both women and men, their identities were not immediately known, and the injured had been referred to the Jos University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
