Prince Gbadebo Adeusi Aladetoye has been elected as the Oloba of Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State after a selection process involving Ifa divination and voting by kingmakers. The exercise, supervised by government officials and security operatives, saw five out of six kingmakers vote for Adeusi, who is from the Orioge Royal House. The head of kingmakers, Chief Oluwatimileyin Gbemisayo, declared Adeusi the king-elect, noting that government representatives insisted on an election despite the Ifa consultation identifying him among five contestants.
