Mr Kabara has assumed duty as the new State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger State. He took over from Suberu Aniviye on Saturday. The handover occurs amid investigations into the deaths of persons arrested in connection with suspected illegal mining activities. The circumstances surrounding the deaths are under probe.
