The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the killing of Agbeniga Taye in Oke-Ero Local Government Area. According to the command, Taye was among three individuals who entered the bush to search for missing persons suspected to be kidnapping victims. Commissioner of Police Ojo Adekimi stated that the command could not verify Taye's status as a local security commander, suggesting the men might have been hunters. The clarification followed reports that Taye was a local security commander killed while confronting suspected bandits to protect residents of Idofin-Ayekale community.
