Vice President Kashim Shettima has stated that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) remains crucial in ensuring the success of future Hajj exercises. He noted that NAHCON, under its current management, significantly improved operations, resulting in major successes recorded in 2026. Shettima made these remarks in Abuja when he received the comprehensive 2026 Hajj operations report from the NAHCON board, led by its chairman, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf. The Vice President attributed the success of the 2026 exercise to President Bola Tinubu's leadership and decisive intervention at a critical time during the operations.
