The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced on Saturday the constitution of an investigative panel to probe the death of miners in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The panel includes Ciroma and Deji Adeyanju, among others. Alongside the panel's formation, 20 NSCDC officers have been suspended. The move follows public outcry over the deaths.
