The Coalition of Concerned People of Bauchi and other groups affiliated with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have announced plans to mobilise 10,000 volunteers to support Senator Halliru Dauda Jika's governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections. The coalition's leader, Hon. Ahmed Yero, disclosed this during a press conference in Bauchi. He said the move was prompted by the Independent National Electoral Commission's lifting of the ban on general campaigns for the 2027 elections, effective September 9, 2026. Yero added that it was time for ADC members and Bauchi indigenes to participate and exercise their civic rights.
