Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dele Alake, and Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo of being responsible for the deaths of 37 Nigerians in government custody. In a statement issued on Saturday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said the victims were arrested alive by government agents and never returned alive to their families. He demanded that the administration answer how the 37 Nigerians died after being arrested and taken into custody. Atiku insisted that the government cannot hide behind propaganda or sacrifice junior officers to protect those at the top.
