The Archbishop of Church of God Mission International (CGMI), Bishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa, has donated a solar-powered borehole to the Oko Correctional Centre in Benin. The donation was made to improve the welfare of staff and inmates, and was part of activities marking Benson-Idahosa’s 83rd birthday celebration. Represented by Bishop Wale Ajayi, she inaugurated the project on Thursday. The Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Zone G, Comptroller Mosue Oizuajemen, described the intervention as timely, noting that inadequate water supply had been a major challenge due to the high cost of diesel and irregular electricity.
