Woman allegedly kills husband planning to marry second wife in Kano

A woman in Rogo local government area of Kano State, Bilkisu Sani, has been arrested over the alleged killing of her husband, Hafizu Gausu, who was reportedly planning to take a second wife. A resident, Auwal Kazagi Rogo, said the incident occurred on Friday around 7pm in the Katsalle area of Rogo town. Residents rushed to the scene after hearing cries from Gausu's wife, who claimed her husband had been slaughtered, but upon arrival, they found he had been hit on the head with an object and had a bite mark on his ear. Police were called and evacuated the body for investigation; it was alleged that Gausu's plan to marry a second wife had sparked repeated quarrels with Bilkisu, who vowed to stop the marriage.
