Ahead of the 2027 governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Kebbi State, political activities have shifted to the grassroots. Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to Governor Nasir Idris, said the intensity of ward and local government consultations indicates a more issue-based contest. He noted that voters are now focused on verifiable stewardship, capacity for inclusive governance, and tangible contributions to community development. Zuru added that Governor Idris has an advantage due to his performance record and grassroots connection.
