How I came to like Charly Boy ‘a bit’ – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has spoken about his changing perception of entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy. In an interview with media personality Bae U, Obasanjo said he once wished Charly Boy had taken after his late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa. Obasanjo described Charly Boy as "jaga jaga" but noted that his view changed after witnessing the entertainer's dedication to caring for his parents. He contrasted his initial impression with his high regard for Justice Oputa, whom he described as one of the Nigerians he respected.
