NDC leadership disowns 59-member Presidential Campaign Council unveiled by Obi, Kwankwaso Movement

The national leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has disowned a 59-member Presidential Campaign Council announced by the OK Movement, a political platform supporting the joint ticket of Peter Obi and Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso. In a statement titled “Re: Purported OK Movement PCC Announcement,” NDC National Chairman Senator Cleopas Moses said the council did not emanate from the party and should be disregarded by the public and the media. He emphasized that all candidates of the party must recognize they are not running as independent candidates. The development indicates potential crisis within the NDC.
