The Oyo State Police Command has rejected claims that a suspect was detained over an N8,000 debt. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said the narrative was false and misleading. According to the police, the suspect collected N23,000 in cash from a female PoS operator with the intention of transferring the same amount but left without effecting the transfer or returning the money. The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged to court.
