Issues from the First Month of the 2027 Campaigns

The campaigns for the 2027 presidential election officially began on 19th August 2026, according to the electoral management body's timetable. More than a month of the five-month campaign period has passed. Political parties concluded the selection of their presidential flagbearers in May, about three months before the campaigns started. Despite increased political activity, there is still little distinction between the pre-campaign and campaign periods.
