A civil society organisation, Defence for Democracy, has called for credible candidates in Enugu State ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a press statement issued in Abuja, the group's National President, Dr. Emeka Nwachukwu, emphasised that personal ambition must not override public interest. The organisation stressed the need for honest leadership and grassroots connection in the state.
