The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) dismissed a $2.35 billion claim by Sunrise Power Transition Company and its owner, Leno Adesanya, regarding the Mambila Hydro Electric Power Project. The tribunal also rejected a $400 million settlement claim and ordered Sunrise and Adesanya to reimburse Nigeria approximately $11.82 million in legal and other expenses. The author, Garba Shehu, was present at the January 15, 2025, tribunal sitting in Paris and describes witnessing the case.
