The Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has begun clearing bushes and desilting drainage channels along the Owo–Ikare–Arigidi–Ekiti State border road in Ondo State. The intervention, under FERMA's Routine and Preventive Maintenance Works Programme, aims to improve road safety, ease motorists' visibility, and reduce hiding places for criminals. The work covers the section between Chainage 4+000 and 32+000, with workers also removing refuse along the road shoulders. The Federal Road Maintenance Engineer for Ondo State, Kenneth Yanum, said about 50 people from host communities were engaged for the one-month maintenance.
