The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that a mother and her three children died in a fire at Okochiri community in Okirika Local Government Area on Friday. Police spokesperson Blessing Agabe stated that others sustained injuries and property worth thousands of naira was destroyed. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. This incident occurred about two weeks after 37 people died from inhaling pungent odour from a tampered pipeline in the same Okrika axis.
