Gunmen attacked a vegetable market in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday at about 8:45 p.m. The assailants opened fire randomly on traders who were closing for the day, killing five people and injuring many others. The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the area.
